To the editor re: Giuliani's Restraint,
There's a wide divergence of opinion on Rudy Giuliani
being a hero or a villain but the issue of his knowing the WTC would collapse
20 minutes before it happened is not an opinion, it's a provable historical fact
with evidence that would be accepted in any court.

On 9/11 in a televised interview with Peter Jennings,

or get it directly from ABC News) Giuliani states he was told 15 to 20 minutes
before the WTC collapsed that it would collapse. There can be no
mistaking what he said nor can it be interpreted to mean he thought it
might collapse. He plainly says, we were told it would collapse. The
reason he cannot now admit to this fact is that it directly supports the
claim by many family members of police and firemen who died in
the buildings that Giuliani was in part directly responsible for their deaths
by allowing them to have radios that were known to be faulty for the entire time
he was in office.

Giuliani was told the buildings would collapse 20 minutes beforehand,
so if their radios had worked, many of those uniformed victims
could have gotten out alive because they too would have been told.
Likewise, the many first responders who died outside the building
could have moved to a safer distance.

The myth that Giuliani was in any way the hero of 9/11 can be disproved in many
ways but this one particular piece of evidence, and the lie he now tells about
it. are unambiguous proof that he is unfit to lead this nation and that he routinely
lies about things that can readily be proven to be lies.
