ACLU To Sue Boeing Over ‘Torture' Allegations

Submitted by Richard Allan, May 31, 2007 13:42

How can a defendant --who is sued for damages in a United States' court for an alleged act against a non-resident/domicilary that occured outside of the United States --obtain a jury which would represent the peers of the parties? Citizens who would serve on a jury in a US court are not the peers of the plaintiff who neither reisdes in the States and/or if the incident occured in some foreign place and thus would have no knowledge of the degree of damages to award ---if any are awarded--to one who has no connection to the forum and court.
