If anyone wants to know the bottom line or end of the story they only have to read Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39

John Haggies book also covers the same subject except his time of cronaligical events are off a little.

Israel will take out Iran and Syria plus the Russians in Iran-this is refered to in Ezekiel as the hook in the Jaw and will bring down Russia and her 5 allies through Syria to attack Israel. However these armies can not see Israel's check mate which is their God. God will destroy all those massive armies and you need to know that Gog is Russia in Ezekiel and Gomer is Turkey. This event will be the turning point for planet earth and a world dictator will rule this earth for 7 years. The is known as the time of Jacobs trouble and the Great tribulation. Only a handful of people will survive those 7 years of tribulation.
