U.N. Official Says Debate Over Israel Boycott ‘A Good Thing'

Submitted by Olindo Iglesias, Jun 1, 2007 09:23

It is revolting to observe, once more, that boycotts of this nature are politically driven. One would expect more from such organizations, or individuals, who claim to defend human rights. If the human rights was in their agenda they'd target such boycotts against rogue states like Cuba, North Korean, Sudan, among others, where human dignity has little or no worth.

Making of Israel the scapegoat for all the problems in the region, especially when Israel is the ONLY democratic state in the Middle East, is totally biased and unfair to the Jewish state, and will bring no resolve to the problem.

Hopefully, the public opinion will be able to distinguish between a political agenda, and an altruistic interest.
