I believe any Turkish incursion in Iraqi Kurdistan will produce disastrous consequences for all involved, mainly Turkey herself.This action will be opposed by US, EU, Iraqi government, KRG, Arab countries and the rest of the world. It will create chaos inside Turkey.By crossing the border into Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkish army would be erasing the national borders uniting Kurds on both side of the border agains a common enemy.Kurds don't even have to face the Turkish army entering Iraqi Kurdistan, But to stay or to get out will not be a picnic.Instead Turkey has better much more positive options such as holding direct talks with KRG to solve all the hanging problems between the two sides.Turkey cannot make the Kurdish issue just disappear by invading Iraqi Kurdistan, this will only further excarbate the Kurdish issue in general.There must be wise leaders in Anqara who realize the definite consequences of such a dire step on Turkish state.This is nothing to toy with. turkish domestic politics or election politics must not stand in the way of the survivability of Turkey, and her progress towards full fledged democracy. Kurds are more than willing to cooperate and find just solutions to all these problems when Turkey comes to her senses and recognizes the Kurdish reality and hold direct negotiation with them.This is the right path for Turkey and KRG and it will serve their mutual interests best while sparing people on both sides the agonies of violence and possibly war that Turks have been threatening all along.
