Your comments that the racing fan has been unduly injured by the decision of Street Sense not to run in the Belmont shows are misguided. Horses are not machines. The triple crown series is not designed in the best interest of the horse. With the triple crown unachievable why run a valuable horses of 3 weeks rest for some fans and reporters? There are other days and other races. The Haskell and Travers plus many other races give ample opportunity for the three Derby finishers to meet. Were I Street Senses' trainer I would do exactly the same thing, not enter in the Belmont the press be dammed.
