The return of the Temple Mount to the people Israel was foretold in the Tanakh, in the Book of Daniel, chapter 8, where verse 14 says, "After 2300 evening-mornings, then shall the sanctuary be restored [i.e., made right, as in returned to its rightful owners]." The starting point of the prophecy in Daniel 8 was explained in that chapter as the first time Alexander the Great moved against Persia. This took place in May, 334 BCE. After 2300 evening-mornings (a cryptic way of referring to Passover nights) , or in other words after 2300 Passovers had transpired, which happened in late April, 1967, thereafter santuary was to be restored, and it happened as predicted. The repossession of the Temple Mount in 1967 was indeed a miracle, foretold in the Tanakh more than 2500 years before it took place, and evidence today that G-d is quite active in the affairs of his people Israel if they will believe his promises.
