If a wall is unloved, does this rejection render it ineffective? The Berlin Wall worked well enough, helping to preserve the Glorious Triumph Of The Aryan Proletariat's having become the German VOLK.

As that Omniscient Interlocutor, El Gallo, remarked during the final scene of THE FANTASTICKS, "Always leave the wall [standing]..." Some separations are necessary, as the Liberal Tendency implicitly asserts. Else, we should be short of that most valued social attribute~~ DIVERSITY.
