I'm currently reading Mr. Moyar's book and I'm almost done with it. It's about time that the truth about our involvement in the 1950's with the Diem government comes out. Conventional history always painted Diem badly and it's time the Left's dominance on this subject is challenged. I also read Mr. Lewy's book and recommend that as a first step into finding out the path to our involvement in South Vietnam. For many decades the Liberals and the Left have used Vietnam as a club to bash this country and our efforts at helping the South Vietnamese, who were the true victims of the Liberals and the Left's desire to see us defeated in Vietnam. How different things would have turned out if Liberals like Henry Cabot Lodge and those in the media had acted differently or had reported the facts as they should have done. Because of their actions then, and their continued actions in the subsequent decades the complete story has been hidden from the American people. Until now. I can't wait until the second volume comes out.
