Relating the consumer benefit of lower taxes resulting from lower defense spending, Fed. Chair Barnake (?) has a different opinion. A Yahoo article this a.m. quoted the Fed. Chair that the U.S. economic slowdown was due in part to slow housing market and lower defense spending. My opinion is that it is deplorable that a country such as the United States has to depend on defense spending to spur the economy. Furthermore, the Fed Chair should be taken to task for suggesting more defense spending is needed. The U.S. is the most milataristic country on the globe. It is time to forge plowshares from those swords folks. Let your Congress and Senate know,
