It is apparant you have a decent knowlege of baseball and its players. Having said that, I have no idea where you are keeping this crystal ball of yours... Perhaps when it solidifies itself, you can allow Brian Cashman to borrow it for two bits and a buck for other dealings other than A-Rod... The big picture here, my friends, is that nothing is certain. There is no certainty that whoever produced or may produce, is going to replace/fix what we already have or stay healthy enough to be viable. You yourself have said one thing I agree with, and that is no matter where A-Rod plays, he will produce. The devil you know is always a better deal than the devil you don't....I say, let the team play it out, sort things out with what they have. That in itself will produce character and needed hunger in the triple A players... And so what if A-Rod enjoys a little oooh-laa-laa off-the-field, or yells HA! fifteen times a week. Take a look around, it added productive fire to the bench... The bats are coming alive my friend... The pitching will take care of itself and the Red Sox, among other teams ahead in the Wild Card standings, will cool off.. Perhaps you should put some faith in what exists instead of stirring controversy with your words over "woulda, shoulda coulda" supposals. Consider this... With A-Rod gone, you'll have 85% less to write about, since all you have mainly focused on in the past two years is what he hasn't brought to the Yankee game... Perhaps YES and other publications that carry your banter should look to oust you, as our literary escape hatch, come trade deadline.
