Turkish Force of 250,000 Set for Kurds

Submitted by Orhan Kemal, Jun 7, 2007 03:18

As a Nato and strong US Ally, we have a difficulty to understand our American fiends' attitude towards this issue. PKK is a terorist organisation which is recognised by US and EU yet our friend tries to restrain us from taking action against them. This inhuman people kill innocent people in the nation's capital or soldiers who protect their country. People on the street do not understand the paradox of which US is coming from thousandsof miles away to protect its interest and homeland to Iraq, where as we are being told to exercise the same right for our own security.

I do not believe that Turkey has imperaialistic agenda in Norther Iraq. This is all basic natioanal security issue.

I strongly advise our American friend not to jeopardise our more than 50 years of friendship and alliance in the name of pleasing some tribes in Norther Iraq.
