So Anthony Alvarado is back in New York to do "his thing". Teachers in San Diego sometimes talk -- wondering where he is and what he is corrupting now... Between him and Alan Bersin, things in San Diego Schools were a mess. They still are, but the new Supt, Dr. Carl Cohn is trying to "fix" them. I have been told that he sent home several (12-25) principals about 2 weeks ago, telling them not to return until after Thanksgiving. I think it's a warning that they'd better listen when they're told to treat teachers with respect and fairness. That's a 180 from what Bersin and Alvarado expected from principals. Sad to say, I think it will take more than that to send a strong message. Too many have learned to get their jollies from tossing their weight around -- something that Bersin and Alvarado did, not caring who they hurt. Perhaps you would like to read my book, "The Black Hole in the Blueprint, Teacher Abuse in San Diego City Schools". I'll send you a complimentary copy if you're interested. I will need to have a mailing address... Janice Howes 8350 Phyllis Pl. #220 San Diego, CA
