in response to reader comment: this delivery service is not offering anything uniquel

Submitted by fancynot, Jun 9, 2007 03:53

i've used FD for years until about a year ago when they just stopped trying. When i saw bread-n-brie delivery carts next to my house, i placed an order just to check them out. Trust me, it's different. Granted, i didn't test them for the fancy stuff (i'll order fish fillets next time), but what i ordered (yogurt, eggs, organic pasta, peaches, some veggies, sweets) was perfectly packaged and taken care of. No boxes, just nice-looking shopping bags. my frozen blueberries were separately packaged with ice gels (delivery guy asked if it's ok to take them back - no problem!). The difference is night and day. I don't know what drove these guys to spend 1.5 years building the company, but if they can bring to others the same quality and service that they showed me - i think they'll make it.
