Claremont Riding Academy Closes Its Doors

Submitted by Graham Wood, Jun 9, 2007 14:48

In 1973, at the age of 12, I rode Willow in a horse show taking home third place. While I grew older, traveled, went to college, etc., I had forgotten about this beautiful horse until years later I went back to the stables to find her there. Needless to say, it broke my heart to see that she was still living the life of a NYC horse. While a part of me is sad to this piece of NYC history vanish, I am glad that horses will no longer being living in this environment simply for the entertainment of people.
