Claremont Riding Academy Closes Its Doors
in response to reader comment: Equistrians no longer in Central Park?

Submitted by Ginny Long, Jun 10, 2007 02:41

I was watching Regis and Kelly at the end of April 2007 (when Regis returned to TV after his heart surgery) and he mentioned that the Claremont Riding Academy was "closing its doors"....I didn't believe him. I tried for days to contact the school to confirm but no one picked up the phone nor was there any 'recording'. I didn't know what to think. Someone mentioned the 'internet' so that is where I found the devasting news. I had planned to schedule my 'dream' back in 2004 but my 'significatn other' became ill and died in May 2005...I was 'dealing' with 'all that' and I put my 'dream' on hold because I never in my wildest dreams thought that the Claremont Riding Academy would be forced to shut down. I had finally made arrangements to make my trip for June 2007 but again, no one was answering the phone. I guess I will go to my grave never having the pleasure of riding horseback in Central Park. If there is any chance, that there is 'change of heart' regarding the 'closing' , please let me know because I will be there in a heartbeat.

Thank you for taking the time to read my 'story'....
