Great topic and article! I like your lead paragraphs. I did not know there were that many Puerto Ricans in NYC. In Puerto Rico the populations is only under 4 million--there are probably more Puerto Ricans in the states than in the Island.

I would have mentioned that the word "Boricua" means in Taino (the indiginous language--not Spanish) Puerto Rico. The last two paragrapths are important (80 people arrested and 789,000 PR live in NYC). That information needed to have been brought that up earlier -- the public needs to know a little more about these arrest since you mentioned it. For example, why were they arrested? What were they doing? Were they PR or outsiders? You just needed one or two sentences to explain your statement. Ending with Mr. Serranos comments is a powerful way to finish--it is a strong statement.
