Court Decision Restricts Gun Sentences

Submitted by Jack Brannon, Jun 12, 2007 00:29

I believe all gun crimes should have a stiff mandatory sentence that all states have to abide by. And this sentence should be the same for all perpetrators of the same crime, irregardless of their ages or social status. It is only by judges passing down stiff sentences that we will ever see a reduction in felony crimes.

Another excellent way to stop so many violent crimes is to take away the "country club" atmosphere of the state and federal prisons and start making these criminals work at hard labor from daylight until it gets so dark they cannot see to work. The bleeding heart do gooders who spoke out against this type of treatment were the ones who created the type of criminal that actually enjoys the soft lifestyle of being behind bars. If and when they get out of prison, they immediately go back to a life of crime because many really don't care if they get caught again or not because they actually have it better in jail than they do out.

A person should not have to be a "rocket scientist" to be able to see this trend that has developed over the years. All they need be is someone that has an average amount of common sense and are able to use that common sense.
