Reader comment on:
Rep. Frank Accuses Fox News Host of Bias
in response to reader comment: BARNEY IS SUCKING UP AGAIN

Submitted by Domenic J Corsaro, Nov 27, 2006 10:53

Don't let Chris Wallace, Fox, or any other Neanderthal play you. Clinton fired back; you did, too. Bravo! Hold their feet to the fire if they change the Rules of the Game.

Sucking up? I don't think so. No doubt, Mr. Frank does not have Mr. Statham for a constituant. He does not depend on his vote or opinion. He is not indebted to Mr. Clinton. He is not running for national office. If you presume that Sen. Clinton is a power-to-be, let me tell you something. She is there now, period. A power, period. He has his Senate seat; she has hers. How are these points "sucking up"?

Don't presume that Sen. Clinton is the defacto Democratic candidate in '08. Don't presume that Mr. Frank is not his own man. If you had followed his career, his public statements, you would be hard-pressed to find a public servant that matched his integrity and intelligence. He's nobody's fool. He' not going to let a Fox hack play him for one, and for that, I applaud him.
