I recently gave to my 3rd cousin his grandfather's Boy Scout handbook which his mother had given to me when she heard I joined the Cub Scouts (that was in 1957). That paperback was dated 1933 and it was chuck full of this kind of stuff. This is what boys did before they had to plug things in. What does that mean? Well, this was written in the spirit of everything entertaining that was available before the age of TV. TV, our third parent, is there to sell things. and we are suckers with a checkbook. Thank you guys for the 'Dangerous Book for Boys.' This is just what we needed. ('cause by now even the Boy Scout handbook is full of PC nonsense.)
