Dear Gov. Spitzer,

I hope and pray that you sign the propossed bill that would allow Doctors to prescribe marijuania

for the chronically ill. I suffer from fibromyalgia/ and or MS> My medical doctor , prescriber Marinol a drug

simular to marijuana. and had excellent effect with my pain managament. I had been prescribed strong

opates for over twenty years previous. the last five of which I was given the mountainous amount of 480 mgs.

of oxycontin. With the marinol I became active again, became a father to my two daughters again, began to
have in intrest in life. This lasted for about nine months. Because of a predujiced mental health aid,

whom manipulated her records my doctors to her demand of the marinol treatment plan. My doctor

canceled the marinol use. Now I am baack to spending my days in bed, for two years now. I am 52

years of age. I know with the medicine back , I would come back.

I plead with you to sign the medical marijuana bill. My teenage daughters know how much it has

helped me with my pain and depression from my illness. They even asked my MD to put me back on

the treatment plan. I asked myself also. His response was that it raised to many flags. He did not

want to be harrassed by the FDA . He felt they would obsess over his presription.

Canada and England allow medical marijuania. I am told that the drug companies are the

biggest lobby against legalization , because they would loss billions on sales. What are patients , a

means of income for doctors and drug companies ????? Or are we persons with real pains ? I have

explained to other Dr. s and my PCP that the medical marijuania was much more effective for me than

being doped up on the opaties. But all explained that the state is against, therefore they cannot. But my

PCP clearly explained that he would prescribe if the state would allow.

So ,please, vote YES Governor Spitzer. Put marijuania in the medicine cabinet and off

the streets. You would put allot of bad people out off business. Ergo, stopping the outlaw dealers

from selling other more dangerous drugs to our youth. Kids would say, " That person using Marijuania

must be sick, because Marijuania is a medicine to treat depressen and chronic pain , MS
