Supreme Court Rejects Home Care Wage Suit

Submitted by Monita Johnson, Jun 14, 2007 08:41

I don't think that the ruling of the court is correct since all of us Home Care workers are struggling to make ends meet. We struggle to care for our families while we continue our education in the medical field.

It's unfair for us to give the best care possible to our clients while at the same time take on many other shifts to make ends meet and at the same time the level of care decreases due to unsatisfying wages.

We live in a city that can take better care of their workers and at the same time, those who become ill and are medicaid patients, us Home care workders take on responsibilities that nursing homes do not do well due to overstocked nursing homes. GIVE US A BREAD and PAY US THE FAIR OVERTIME and WAGES WE DESERVE and WORK SO HARD FOR!
