The President insists we fight the enemy with Rules of Engagement. The enemy has the benefit of fighting without any rules. The means, the time and the place to strike are of his choosing. Not only do we not get any respect for our "principled" stand but we are also incrementally losing the War.

It is time, past time, to take off the gloves.

My father was a member of the 10th Mountain Division in Italy during WWII. Like so many others of that generation, he wouldn't talk about it until decades later. He summed it up by saying he committed what would be considered a "war crime" every other day.

Say what you will, the Greatest Generation took care of business in 3 years and 9 months. We are on year 4 and there is no end in sight. Maybe we need to be a litte more aggressive? Just a little...
