If Melky continues his fine play in CF and at the plate one would hazard a guess that Johnny Damon is past tense and expendable. I'm uncertain what teams might be interested provided NY eats his contract but he could be moved in a trade for Teixeira along w/ as someone suggested a few prospects.He's about 7 yrs younger than what the Rangers are currently running out there in Sosa and Lofton.Damon could be moved to LF.This doesn't impact the front end of the Yankee lineup too much ,if Melky stumbles they just move everyone up in the order.It is my feeling Britton and Eddie Ramirez will be called up sometime before the trade deadline seeing that GM's start to get busy around this time.Visciano will more than likely be traded.I also think the Yanks project Britton as a 2-3 inning type.Teixeira would assure NY 30-40 HR power and great protection for AROD.The Yanks should definitely refrain from trading for aging players (Sweeney) or 1 dimensional ones(Dunn).Why trade for Sweeney when they have Phillips at SWB who is a far more versatile player and would give NY about equal production?
