The Planner Behind Bloomberg's PlaNYC

Submitted by Robert Oldaker, Jun 15, 2007 01:21

I have heard much mockery regarding the mayors idea of planting one million trees in manhattan, but why? There is plenty of space for trees, and other greenery. If the mayor is allowed to pursue this idea, NYC can become the dream city we all wish it could be. I am fortunate to have a backyard here in manhattan, but how nice would it be to see the trees lined with unusual trees, hardy flowering vines, and other species which we couldnt even imagine. R.O.
