Diane Ravitch--this is an awesome statement. Politicians, business people, most conservatives, and all those others who could never hold their own in a classroom--but think they know how to fix public education--will attack it , and they will ignore the enlightenment it holds. However, we who know how right Diane is must keep such non-educators from ever again interfering, and trying to destroy public education. It's about the kids.
