When 100 percent of the couples (one man & one woman) stay married to each other then they would have a right to say who should be married. Since only about half of those couples actually stay together and raise their children together. What difference does it make if one woman raises her kids alone or has another women that she loves raise her kids together. The same with men. If one man can raise his children alone then why can't two men who love each other raise his kids together.
Marriage is a commitment that people love each other until death do us part. Or at least that was the way it was when my wife and I got married 44 years ago. Whether it is a man and a woman or two men or two women if they love each other then they should have the right to marry and make a commitment to stay together.
I congratulate the State of Massachusettes for doing the right thing. I just hope that someday the people of New York will not be so narrow minded and not allow anyone who wants to to be able to marry anyone else that they want to along as the other party also says they want to get married.
