How do you keep a religion relevant in an age of 30 second sound bites?
Answer, you become a religious activist. If anyone challenges your faith in God and prayer, you can always point to the stone cold fact that you led an awe-inspiring march against global warming or in favor of gay marriage. Perhaps that's why so many of the church leaders in Mark's editorial are desperately seeking some sort of tangible accomplishments. Something that will show fruit and encourage like-minded activists that religion is not just for old people. Sure religion should be about more. But then, what's something like the Meaning of Life when you have global temperatures rising at such rates? Help us Al in our moment of need.
