As events work themselves out, Israel must watch for any overt attempt by Hamas to beef up it's army in the Gaza Strip. If it's apparent that Hamas is using it's take-over to further threaten Israel's security, and or if it allows rockets to be fired again into Sderot, Israel must act.
A few armored divisions, plus aircraft, drones, artillery, led by Barak (finally Israel has a decent Defense Secretary), should preceed at takeover of the Philadelphia Corrider (border between Egypt and Gaza) to stop the smuggling. Of course Israel will have to observe other areas where smuggling can be done.
Basically it should keep Gaza isolated..and put Abbas on notice in the We. Bank.
