Clinton Taps Newly Active Indian Donors
in response to reader comment: Indian Americans for Hillary

Submitted by Mike, Jun 18, 2007 19:17

If these millions of foreign workers are so good for America's economy then why did America's booming economy go into a recession right after 1998 - the first year millions of these allegedlly great guest workers arrived. And why has America's economy still not recovered since then. Why are there still 4-5 million American IT workers with PhDs and two to three decades of experience out of work? I lived and worked in Silicon Valley for over 15 years and I watched this virtual invasion of foreign labor. They won't hire Americans. They hate us. In addition these guest workers did not deliver the economic benefits they promised: we were told they would only be here temporarily during the boom. They came in and the economy collapsed. Why do we continue to insist on importing workers that cause economic recession? Why do we get lied to as Americans and not hold immigrants accountable?
