"I want a round table!" ....Those who have no intentions of honoring what they have parlayed will always use negotiations as a weapon for buying time. The North Koreans began to change the rules again as soon as the frozen funds started to flow. The soldiers of Hanoi were crossing the DMZ as the ink dried on that accord. Our honor is viewed as a weakness by tyrants. As we try to squeeze the Iranians with a weak embargo, they are building a Mullah city of opulence. Unless we upset their personal plans of being wealthy (they are not austere monks), they will continue on a path towards permanent dictatorship through fission. As we use outdated 20th century failed appeasement techniques, they will make sure that the fate of the Shah will not be repeated on their watch, which is a nuclear powered watch. The Persians may be looking at a government with a half life of several million years.
