I completely agree with Dave Hall. Arab does not equal Muslim, and yes, the author and readers are definately confused about the agenda of this school in Brooklyn. I would support this school as well, but I would not send my children there, becasue I am Muslim. My children would not get the Islamic education I want them to have, they would only get the secular education and an overview of the modern Arabic language. This language is different from the classic arabic of the Quran that I am teaching my children.

In this Brooklyn school, my children would not be able to stop and pray, they wouldn't even be taught how to pray. The teachers would not teach them about our Islamic holidays, and teach them about the life of the prophet Mohammed (saw). I truely don't think that this school will attrack muslims becasue it's secular, the same as any other public school but with an emphasis on Arabic, instead of French, or Spanish, etc.

This sounds link a great school for Non-muslims who really want to learn arabic. So for all of those who are afraid of the Muslims please calm down. You are wasting your time.
