Bush Weighs Reaching Out To ‘Brothers'

Submitted by Anita Stieglitz, Jun 19, 2007 23:53

Very interesting article. It would be astonishing except that I am no longer astonished by our State Department. Why shouldn't we have a little chat with the Muslim Brotherhood? And while we're at it, let's send out for some bagels and cream cheese and send them to our other dear brother, Osama Bin Laden. Why not ask Mr. Ahmadinijad if he'd like to baby-sit for my Jewish nieces and nephews? We've got great DVDs of the films made by the British forces that liberated the non-existent Jewish survivors of the non-existent Holocaust. The leaders of Syria and Saudi Arabia are already our esteemed friends, though maybe we should send them a token of our further love, maybe some lampshades made of Jewish skins?

I can't think what further gifts we can send to our beloved brothers in China, maybe what's left of our economy, just a little token of our gratitude for the humane and thoughtful ways they deal with dissidents? We've pretty much given them everything, except for those little baubles we've had to send to our friend, Mr. Putin, and the thank you presents we've been showering on the Mexican government for allowing us to help alleviate poverty in their country, and for making it just a little bit easier to help them with their own reconquista of our southern states.

We'd also like to send a little something to our "allies" in Taiwan, Tibet, and especially Israel. Maybe, in the spirit of true American friendship, a thick, tight noose?
