Getting really tired of people telling me how horrible war is. It's like the dangers of smoking: Is there really anybody in the world who doesn't know that cigarettes and war can kill? How about a differntly themed play/film/novel about war? MTV once did a show about the music the troops in Iraq listened to, and it was brilliant. Funny, inspiring, poignant--and not one second of sad, sanctimonious moralizing. MTV! That means some twentysomething twerp wrote it, and he or she had more insight than all the world's aging playwrights, filmmakers, and novelists put together. Get on the ball, "creative" people. You're boring the hell out of us.
