Here in Canada it's a non-issue. We've had gay marriage for several years.
And I'm here to report: It hasn't been "the end of marriage" - far from it. Straight people continue to get married just as before. Our society hasn't fallen apart. And nothing has changed regarding marriage. Except one thing: gay people now have the same rights straights have always taken for granted.
As a Canadian, I would think our country is living proof that American alarmists are simply wrong about gay marriage. I'm here to tell you- it works. (And no, I'm not gay.)
