Arafat crashed every agreement between the PLO and Israel as they reached fruition, even those favoring the Palastinians. Resolution of the conflict would have neutered him just as the end of World War II sent the revered Churchill home. Neither dedicated Hamas fanatics nor the corrupt Fatah will allow themselves to be muted easily. If one anihilates the other, new Islamic enemies will raise their ugly heads in order to continue the slaughter. Hezbollah is probably waiting for a cue to join the dance and possibly gain something for it's own agenda. Who knows what radical group is fermenting and readying itself to intoxicate the futureless adolescents coming of age in the Holy Land. New grudges that will be vilified for generations are being written in stone by the former terrorist allies while the Israelis need to follow the advice of a former Republican Party chairman... when your enemy is in the process of self destructing, don't interfer. Whoever wins this round, the fight will continue.
