I think this is an example of pure haterade for Isiah. There's too much pessimism in this article. It assumes that pretty much nothing good will get done this summer and we have to allow for a fair amount of internal growth. This will be only the 2nd year for Isiah as coach and if not for the injuries last year this team would've ended up with a better record than just 33 wins. The team is already capable of 42 wins this year. Next year we'll see another huge increase in the number of wins from this team.
We have better talent than many writers seem to realize and most of that talent is at most only 2 years into their NBA careers. Talent wasn't the problem, execution was. The longer this team plays together under this system the better they'll get at executing the plays.
Isiah also has just 2 short years until he can get under the cap and I believe he'll win enough to survive that long.
