Olmert Offers Concessions To Palestinians

Submitted by James Johnson, Nov 28, 2006 10:51

Prime Minister Olmert is acting only for his best interests under direct supervision and instructions from the United States. Both he and President Bush are seeking entries into their legacies. They are not working for the interest of Israel or the Israel people. I don't blame President Bush, for he is not an Israeli. I do blame Mr. Olmert.
But it is highly unlikely Mr. Olmert will be able to carry out his "agreements" with the Palestinians. He will be voted out of office and fall by the wayside just as President Bush will do. Perhaps they can squirm together.
The backlash that is being created by Mr. Olmert, will bring the right wing party back in control and perhaps, just perhaps, Israel as a country will be able to survive.
It is difficult for me to watch television, seeing and hearing the rantings of the Islamic leaders telling their followers that Islam will conquer the world, that their flag will fly over the White House, and over London, and over the whole world, while our leaders stand up and talk of how much they are willing to give to live in peace.
The world will awaken some day, but I am afraid it will be after hundreds of thousands, if not millions, die.
Alas!
