Double Standard Seen Among Terror Critics

Submitted by Lutz Barz, Jun 23, 2007 06:52

Why is the US so obsessed with religion? Sure Dr. Stern told some unpalatable truths. Islam does appear in some meltdown mode and they are not alone. Some Israeli internet news paper sites are just as narrow minded and verbally violent against the democratic secular states at best described as impure. Some openly advocate violence against minorities such as gays. Some Christian sites advocate as prediction the violent destruction of the whole planet. That Islam took so long to catch up is what astounds me. And since all three are belief systems, they should carry little weight in the public arena. Other secular countries don't go into hyper-bolic-histrionics over something that cannot be even proven as real. So why not get on with the real problems of the world, not perceived dellusions. Then we might all move forewards into a brighter future that is scientifically and technolgically possible. All this self rightous cant -not Dr. Stern but her detractors, is just so much vomitory verbiage.
