I feel that I must write to congratulate the writer of this editorial; he displays common sense and a realistic approach to the problems of the Midle East that is rarely seen in main street media editorials and wannabe pundits, both print and television.
Of course, the appointment of Blair, and his acceptance of this seemingly impossible task do not guarntee a resultant love affair between Palestinians and Israel, but the offer and acceptance of such an appointment would put a crimp in the knee-jerk "blame the Israelis" habit of United Kingdom and other EU politiians and writers. I like and respect Blair, so I would admonish him NOT to undertake such a thankless task, but I hpe that he does do so.
