What you cite as the horrors of gov't control of health care are relevant, but only to THIS gov't which has shown itself to be incompetent, corrupt and has squandered the resources of the citizens of our country. Health care here is considered a luxury, great if you can afford it. Even with excellent (relatively speaking) insurance, one can expect hefty co pays that can take years to pay off. Before we talk about letting the gov't take over health care, we need to fix the gov't, an unlikely event given the entrenchment of coporate power behind the political stage.
