Let's not make generalised statements, with no evidence at all; and obviously anyone who works for the Federal Government is an incompetent oaf, whilst all those who work in the private sector are geniuses. (sweeping statements aside... :-) )
It is also so obvious that that kind of Government run health care, that provides for everyone rich or poor, in other countries is terrible. You know the sort, you have to pay for it in your taxes - but at least everyone gets cared for no matter what their social status or their income or wealth level is.
Ask yourself a couple of questions, do you really care which doctor you see if your child is dying, needs immediate care and any doctor can save them? Do you really want a loved one to die because the treatment they require is refused by a private insurance company and you have to fight them just to get that treatment?
Don't assume that private insurance will take care of it. Like any good enterprise the private insurance company is after profit, not your or your loved ones health. This article also begs the question of faith in Government. Government is for the people, by the people and of the people. No Government is perfect, but at least they look at everyone with the same jaundiced eye. If you have that little faith in your Government, why not start by challenging it on what it is getting wrong and keeping an eye on what it is doing?
We rely, and are generally certain, as to the Government's job in protecting our interests, in defending our economics abroad and in supporting our commitment to the free market; why is helping us to look after ourselves different? You don't like Government health care? Go private.
