Thank you for having the courage to speak the obvious. I have been teaching true Abstinence Education for the last five years. Ihave found that kids by far respond favorably to the truth. They want to know that someone believes that given the facts they can make a good decision. I have talked with countless teens who regret becoming sexually active, some living with the concequences, an eighteen year old whose boyfriend showed his love by impregnating her and giving her HPV. She has a two year old and is undergoing her second round of treatment for cervical cancer.

Because of limited funds for Title V my contract allows for seventeen hours a month to teach and administrate for my county. I work on average eighty hours a month. Speaking for myself and the others in my state who teach our programs, no one is getting rich off of Title V we do it becaouse we care, because it's right and our young people deserve the truth.
