Methodist Report ‘Borders on Anti-Semitism'

Submitted by Bette Dowdell, Jun 29, 2007 11:45

I'm a member of the United Methodist Church, albeit with one foot out the door. The leadership of the UMC struts and puffs, but they don't speak for the membership. The pity is that those in leadership can't connect the dots between their attitudes and bleatings and the membership stampede out the door.

I love what the Methodist Church used to be. John Wesley, founder of Methodism, was a giant among Christians. My parents were both Methodist clergy. Current Methodism gives me a rash.

Everybody needs to know the Methodist leadership elite don't speak for the members--and they certainly don't speak for God.
