I am a long-time Bush supporter, but this is insanity. If the goal of our troop presence in Iraq is, as it should be, the promotion of an Iraqi democracy as a means of eliminating one source of support for the terrorists that would like to attack America, then such a democracy must include apprehension & prosecution of criminals, not the least of which is those who threaten the formation of a stable government. Bush is not capitulating to the squawking & whining of those in America who promote policies that would encourage terrorism, and he must not allow the Iraqi police to do so either.
