Well, well well, do I see/hear that dreaded phrase - national identity card? What is this country coming to? A recognition that we need to know who is in this country and where they are (to begin with)? National Identity Card - the boogy-person of all free people! Were are the Lefties - not left-handed people - but Liberals on the Left of the political aisle when we need them?

This country should join with just about every other country knowing who is here, where they are and what they are doing, particularly those who are not citizens of this country. When a foreign traveler checks into a hotel in most foreign countries, including those in Europe, Africa, Asia, Antarctica and the Americans, the hotel clerk asks for your 'identity papers' and holds them until you leave.

It's time for us to join the twenty-first century, to leave the wild-west of America and get real about our national and personal security and well-being.
