Visitor Kiosk Opens on Roosevelt Island

Submitted by Lawrence Sypowicz, Jul 3, 2007 12:05

Roosevelt Island is an important piece of the history of our city and it's about time it is given a place to collect and share it with the public. I know I have photos from back when the island was known as Welfare Island and now I will have a place to donate my small piece of this islands history. Lots of luck and thanks to the Honorable's Gifford Miller and Jessica Lappin for their financial support and of course for making this dream a reality a special thanks to Judith Berdy the President and Historian of the Roosevelt Island Historical Society.
