While I'm thrilled that this book was reviewed, thank you for that, I wish more consideration could have been given to it's contents. I read the book, and it very much seemed as if she were speaking the words in an interview. I, as a young singer, met Nilsson and was fortunate to have several coachings with her. Besides having her enormous talent, she had a very unique sense of humor which the book captured. The combination of the love of opera and a sense of humor is, indeed, rare. Her talent, love of opera and sense of humor epitomizes this wonderful artist. Yeah, it's fun to read about some of the "backstage stuff" but that should not be the main reason one reads the book. She was a marvelous singer and a wonderful person. To read about "what made her tick" was very exciting. And, oh yes....., her first name is spelled Birgit.
