Anyone suggesting it may or was a good thing to join the Waffen SS should read more WW2 history. These were the architects of mankinds darkest hour. While the Waffen SS may have a slight distinction over the regular SS (eg; assigned to Wehrmacht troops rather than Hitler's private police force) they had the same objective which was the eradication of an entire race. Shameful, to say the very least. Completely unacceptable in 2007!!
