Laurence Mancuso, 72, Leader of Dog-Training Monks

Submitted by Diane C. Czebieniak, Jul 5, 2007 13:03

I am Fr. Laurence Mancuso's niece as well as Norman's daughter. This article is more an advertisement for New Skete Monastery rather than an obituary/tribute to the man who founded it.

My uncle was quite an accomplished man. I have been truly blessed to have him in my life and was priviledged to have the opportunity to get to know him on an even deeper level when he came to live w/my father. This wonderful man was like a second father to me. My husband, Paul and I were blessed to have him marry us. More importantly, my son who is almost 14 now came to know a great man.. someone w/whom he shared a love of trains, gave my son spiritual guidance and was simply a great friend to him. My son misses him tremendously.

Uncle Gabe your memory will be eternal. Paul, John and I miss you and love you so very much!!
